There is a printer connection error (Zebra printers with Bluetooth connection)

  • Drag down from the top of the screen and ensure Bluetooth icon is enabled
  • From the Q-Mgr application, open the Main menu > Settings > Setup printer
  • Select Zebra as the Printer type
  • Select Bluetooth as the Connection type
  • Tap Find printers
  • Select the Zebra printer to complete the pairing

Note: if the printer still cannot be found, follow the steps in the "Connect Printer (Bluetooth)" page in the "Troubleshooting" section.


There is a printer connection error (Zebra printers with USB connection)

  • Make sure the Zebra printer is plugged into the tablet with a USB cable
  • From the Q-Mgr application, open the Main menu > Settings > Setup printer
  • Select Zebra as the Printer type
  • Select USB as the Connection type
  • Tap Find printers
  • Select the Zebra printer to complete the connection

Note: if the printer still cannot be found, follow the steps in the "Connect Printer (USB)" page in the "Troubleshooting" section.


My orders are not printing correctly on the label

If nothing is printing, the first things to check are on the printer itself (ie. check the printer is plugged in, switched on, has sufficient paper, no paper jam etc..). Then check the printer settings on Q-Mgr, which can be accessed from the Q-Mgr main menu (Settings > Setup printer). You should see the "printer type", "connection type" and the "selected printer". If they are not setup, you will need to select the correct configuration (ie. Zebra and Bluetooth), then hit "Find printers" to pair the tablet and printer.

If the layout of the text on the printout looks incorrect, this most likely an issue with the print media. Most sites are configured to print on 2" x 4" stickly labels. If a new print media has been used (ie. 4" wide continuous paper), then the printer settings need to be adjusted. Instructions for this are listed in the "Setup print media" page in the "Troubleshooting section. If there are still issues, please contact Altaine Support (support@altaine.com) if you think is the issue. If you are connected to a Zebra printer, take a screenshot of the Printer Settings to attach to any support request (Settings > Setup printer > Printer settings)

You can also send test orders anytime to check the print layout. This can be accessed from the Q-Mgr main menu (Settings > Send test order).


My Zebra printer is feeding a blank label between printed labels (or general feeding errors like stopping in the wrong location)
You need to perform a Media calibration. Instructions in the "Media calibration" page in the "Troubleshooting" section.


My direct thermal printer is shooting out blank labels
You firstly need to check the print media (labels) are the correct type. Instructions in the "Test your labels (Direct Thermal)" page in the "Troubleshooting" section.
